Drive into the Future

In partnership with CYFD and other organizations, we are working on finding ways to make obtaining a driver’s license, getting driving practice hours, buying a car, and deciding on car insurance more accessible to teens and young adults impacted by foster care. This program is in the development phase so we are adding resources as we can. Please contact our Program Manager (programmanager@nmffc.org) if you have questions which are not answered here and/or if you have resources to share.

  • I would like to get a driver’s license. Where do I start?
If you would like an overview of how to get a driver’s license as well as some information about buying a car and car insurance, attend a Drive into the Future Overview class. It’s free, lasts about one hour, and is virtual. It is not a driver’s education class. See upcoming dates and sign up to attend at this link: https://forms.gle/BvsPDfApMayQExqdA
Here’s the link to guided notes for the Overview class: Guided Notes
