2021 Summer Fun Awards for Children in Foster Care
Announcing our 2021 Summer Fun Awards for Children in Foster Care. Links to application information.
Summer Fun awards are available from NM Friends of Foster Children through July 31, 2021 (unless funds are used sooner)
As we come out of Covid-19 and into a healthier and safer New Mexico, NMFFC wants to help foster children and foster families again this summer. We are offering one-time awards ($75 maximum per child) for activities that children will enjoy.
Requests for all types of activities will be considered: family outings to a zoo, wildlife refuge, museum, amusement park, Carlsbad Caverns, camping, summer camps, backyard games, arts and craft supplies and more! NOTE: Family memberships to museums, zoos, amusement venues, etc. may provide great value and allow for multiple visits.
Fill out the Online Summer Fun Application available at nmffc.org/applications and submit on the website — on-line applications allow for quicker processing.
If you are unable to complete the application on-line, download and print the pdf version, also found at nmffc.org/applications, then complete and mail to: NMFFC, PO Box 25365, Albuquerque, NM 87125.
Approval should be provided within 7 days (please check your emails after submittal – some people missed out last year because they didn’t read their emails from [email protected])
Once you have your approval, make the purchases, scan receipts, and email to [email protected]. Reimbursement should occur within 7 days.
NOTE: If there is more than one foster child in a foster home, funds may be combined for larger purchases if each child participates in and receives their portion of the purchases.
